Techniques Surfaces is the UK supplier of HEF’s Controlled Liquid Ionic Nitriding’ processing. The company has been established at its current Birmingham property since 1991.


Your new role:


As a Technical Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing business for the UK market across the portfolio of products and services offered by Techniques Surfaces. You will receive full product and industry training, both at the Birmingham site and at the Head Office based in France and further plants in Germany. This role requires a technically minded individual to develop their individual Sales approach to meet the current market. The role will be based in the field 4 days a week, with 1 day a week to be spent at the Birmingham site.


What you'll need to succeed:


For this role it is essential to be educated to degree level. It would be desirable if your degree was in either Mechanical Engineering, Material Science or Metallurgy but any technical subject would be considered. The ability to understand and interact on a highly technical product will require this level of understanding, therefore it will not be possible to consider candidates without this level of qualification. The ideal candidate will have field sales experience, or strong internal sales experience, with a minimum of 2 years experience. You will need to be able to communicate well with all levels of authority, have a relaxed and personable Sales approach, with the patience for longer sales processes in some instances. French as an additional language would be beneficial, but not essential. Suitable candidates will also need to be based within The Midlands region, ideally commutable to central Birmingham.
